Laos

Hello Laos! Enjoy some inspiration from our trip and please reach out to me anytime if you want help with your travel plans.

When we had an opting to add onto our SE Asia adventure with a stop in Laos to visit an elephant sanctuary, we couldn’t say YES quick enough. And it was an added bonus that Luang Prabang is such a charming and enlightened place of discovery. We were not there long enough, but our memories will last forever.

Day #1: We toured the quaint metropolis of Luang Prabang, visited a Laos silk weaving studio, and then went to walk with the elephants.

Day #2: We started the day early to give alms to the monks … such an amazing experience! Some of the guys were so young and so brave to have chosen that life. I was in awe. Then we topped that experience with receiving a blessing by a monk at a monastery. He was so brave , impressive, and knowledgeable. I am so thankful for the experience. Lastly, we took a boat to a sacred island to pay our respects and then our day was topped off by a private beach picnic and a boat ride.
