Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site

There is a railroad tie walking path down to the the view at Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site. The King Tides were coming in, so we were not able to enjoy a walk on the beach, so we soaked in the view. Apparently, under the elemental conditions, you can hear the sand singing as the tides roll in and out.

Explore more with www.outdoorproject.com … Nestled between Humbug Point and Hug Point lies a mile long stretch of scenic and protected beach along the northern Oregon coast.  Just off of Highway 101, the beach, cove, and picnic area provide an ideal setting to escape some of the crowds that are likely to be found at nearby Cannon Beachto the north or even Short Sand Beach to the south.

The best time to visit is at low tide when Lion Rock becomes more accessible and the walk to and around Hug Point's vast tide pools is possible.
