Southern California Travel Guide
I love Southern California and visit quite often. Here is my list of my favorite places to eat and visit. Enjoy!

My first stop whenever I touch down in LA is Sugarfish in Marina del Rey! It’s the perfect place to kick off a Southern California getaway with some seriously delicious sushi. They don’t take reservations, so put your name on the list and wander around the shops at Waterside while you wait. Once you’re seated, order The Trust Me—a curated selection of fresh, beautifully prepared sushi featuring tuna, albacore, salmon, toro, yellowtail, and more. It’s always a favorite and a must-stop whenever I’m in town! One thing to note: a 16% service charge is added to the bill, and Sugarfish is a no-tipping establishment, so there’s no need to add a tip.
Manhattan Beach Post is a true locals’ favorite—cozy, social, lively, and serving up delicious coastal-inspired cuisine. Honestly, you can order just about anything here and be very happy, but my must-orders are the bacon cheddar buttermilk biscuits, Brussels sprouts, and branzino. Everything is made for sharing, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed and convivial. And, of course, a bottle of Sancerre is always the perfect accompaniment. This is one of those Manhattan Beach spots I return to again and again!
SLAY Steak + Fish House in Manhattan Beach feels like you could be anywhere in the world when you step inside this charming, cozy restaurant. The warm, friendly service is a big part of the experience, and the menu is filled with delicious options.. Start with the fried calamari and jumbo lump crab cake, then move on to one of the fresh seafood dishes or a perfectly cooked steak. Everything pairs beautifully with a big bottle of red wine. It’s the kind of place that feels special without feeling stuffy—and a wonderful addition to the Manhattan Beach dining scene.
