April 2025 & Support Local

Portland, Oregon is home. It’s the city I chose to live in, to raise my children in, and it remains my favorite place to be. Like many cities, Portland has faced its share of challenges over the past few years. But every spring, as the flowers bloom and the sun begins to shine again, we’re reminded of why we love living in the City of Roses.

In the midst of today’s chaotic political climate, I’ve felt a renewed desire to give back to the place I call home. That’s why I’ve made a commitment to spend time downtown each week—to support local businesses and to stand with others who believe in the future of our city.

I'm also excited to share that I recently joined the City Club of Portland. This organization is dedicated to informing and engaging our community on public matters and encouraging active, responsible citizenship. Through this involvement, I hope to contribute to meaningful dialogue and positive change.

So this month, I’m celebrating my city—and I encourage you to do the same for yours. Together, let’s keep working to build back better.

Here are some of my favorite Portland photos from the month …

The month, our Sweet Rosie started battling early stages of heart disease. We are absolutely saddened by this news as she has been our energizer bunny for 12.5 years. She has lived a fun adventurous life and we plan on making her twilight years extra special. Every day matters and making memories with the ones you love is truly a gift.

And Happy Birthday Ryder! 20 looks good on you!
