January 2026 + There is No Place I'd Rather Be

My theme for January was “There is no place I’d rather be.” And for me, that place was home—with Sam during his final season on the bowling team.

The days were full—early mornings, long drives, and even longer tournaments—but he finished his season strong, and I was there for every moment. I wouldn’t trade that time for anything.

I was invited to travel to Senegal—to sail the Bissagos Islands, explore Dakar, and continue on to Côte d’Ivoire. It was an incredible opportunity, one that I would have loved to experience. But this time, that ship sailed without me. I chose to stay home, fully present, making memories with Sam during his senior year of high school.

And in between it all, we found time to head to the beach—soaking in a few truly epic sunsets together.
