February 2026 + An Ode to Johnny Love

This month we lost a legend in my dear friend Johnny Love. He was like no other, truly a person with the biggest heart and always a song to sing. We travelled together on my first trip to Costa Rica many moons ago. And last year, he sent me the sweetest note on my 55th birthday full of kindness and love. And with an update that he had moved to Costa Rica after years on Orcas Island and many days on a sail boat traveling around the world. He shared he was happy living in a community with some of our dearest friends. As fate would have it, I was in Costa Rica that week, which always brings up memories of my first trip. On my final night in the land of Pura Vida, I discovered the news of his passing. I cried hard for my dear friend, and the treasured friend of so many, whose life was cut way too short. May his magic and music forever live on! RIP Johnny Love!
