Mexico 2026
Mexico is always a good idea! A dear friend invited us to spend Spring Break with them in San Jose del Cabo and we said YES right away! It was a vacation focused on friends, laughter, fun, and food. The area is truly a foodie paradise!
We stayed at Casa Heuer in Puerto Los Cabos, a house that JoAnne was awarded at an auction that is described as “Luxury Los Cabos ocean view residence located within the prestigious Puerto Los Cabos community. Rooftop deck, infinity pool with jacuzzi, access to private beach club and golf course.”
On the evening of our arrival, JoAnne arranged for a private chef to make us regional tacos and mango margaritas, which were delicious!
Day #1 We started every day with a nice walk, which was so good for the body and the soul. On our first day, we discovered our favorite breakfast place, Ruba’s Bakery La Playita at Puerto Los Cabos (note they also have another location Ruba’s Bakery and Bistro, on the main restaurant in downtown San José del Cabo which is. a Michelin Guide recommendation). I ordered up a golf cart for delivery and the kids explored around the property. Dinner was at the highly recommended Flora Field Kitchen at Flora Farms, which is a beautiful property full of shops, nature, and delicious food + drink. Everything on the menu is so fresh and full of flavor and you must order the tuna crudo and focaccia bread to start. For dinner, I had the Sea Bass with roasted cauliflower and cauliflower puree
Day #2: After our morning walk, we prepared for our big outing to Cabo San Lucas for an afternoon private catamaran boat ride through the Sea of Cortez. The girls invited a friend to join them and we arrived to the marina, which was a spring break party zone. Highlights of the ride were to the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, Medano Beach, Pelican Rock, Neptune's Finger, and Cabo San Lucas Beach … plus our awesome captain and bar tender!
