Spring Break 2025 in SoCal

When the boys told us they wanted to spend Spring Break at Disneyland and California Adventure with a 5-day pass and with their buddies, Bo and I started wondering what we would do in Anaheim while they were off at the parks.

Thank goodness for the internet — within minutes, I discovered the Anaheim Tennis and Pickleball Center, complete with drop-in Open Play times. Perfect!

Our plan quickly came together: we would walk, talk, explore, and play lots of pickleball. And the OC absolutely delivered! From great matches on the courts to soaking up the Southern California vibes, it turned out to be an unforgettable Spring Break for all of us.

And it was fun to see Mak while we were in LA!

When in Anaheim, we stayed at the JW Marriott Anaheim Resort and I would highly recommend the property! As a Marriott Bonvoy Member, I booked our room with points and paid for the boys room, so we got two rooms for the price of one! Plus, it is a luxe stay just steps from Disneyland! Our recent stay at the JW Marriott Anaheim was nothing short of exceptional. Perfectly situated just steps from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, this upscale resort offers a blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience that’s hard to beat.

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the property’s elegant ambiance. The outdoor swimming pool is beautifully designed and ideal for relaxing after a long day in the parks. One of the standout features is the JW Garden, a peaceful retreat on-site, along with a well-equipped fitness center that includes a dedicated yoga and zen room—a nice touch for wellness-focused travelers.

Dining was a highlight, with the hotel’s signature restaurant serving up outstanding meals. For a real treat, head to the rooftop bar to enjoy panoramic views of Anaheim and catch the Disneyland fireworks—an unforgettable experience. As Marriott Bonvoy members, we had access to the exclusive Lounge on the 10th Floor, which offered a great selection of breakfast, snacks, and evening cocktails.

The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable sitting area and a functional desk—perfect for remote work. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, always warm and attentive. As guests, we received a stay credit, and our Bonvoy membership earned us a daily food & beverage credit—a nice perk. We also appreciated the connection to the Anaheim GardenWalk, which provides convenient access to a variety of dining and entertainment options.

Just a couple of things to keep in mind: there’s a daily resort fee, and while on-site parking is convenient, it is on the pricier side.

Overall, the JW Marriott Anaheim delivers a luxurious and convenient experience with top-notch amenities, perfect for Disney-goers and business travelers alike. Highly recommended!
